It's time to say goodbye to Oliver Sinclair. Ollie is a Senior studying for a Bachelor of Law and Liberal Arts degree. He played scrum half and wing for KJRFC. We asked him some questions and here are his answers.
What has your experience been like while on your exchange program at KU? "My year abroad at KU has been the most amazing experience of my life. I have met so many amazing people and got to have a classic American college experience and see the country at the same time."
What was it like playing for KJRFC? "Rugby was a big part of my time at KU. KJRFC gave me opportunities I would have never imagined when thinking of coming here whilst in Australia. I got to travel all around the country and play the sport I love. One of my most amazing experiences was playing in Aspen, Colorado for the(Collegiate) Heart of America squad. At first, KJRFC was a good way to meet people and get involved in sports at KU. It quickly developed into much more. I have made lifelong friends playing here and developed my skills as a rugby player. KJRFC has a great culture and everyone was extremely welcoming when I came to the club. There are a number of people constantly working behind the scenes to develop the club and its benefits are really showing. Making the nationals was a huge step and the club is only getting stronger. The commitment of the players is impressive and it's easy to see that we will be a bigger threat in the years to come. KJRFC was an integral part of my time at KU and contributed to it being the most amazing year of my life."
Best of luck to you Ollie and Rock Chalk Jayhawk!
