Last weekend 10 of our guys got the opportunity to team up with players from Kansas State, Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota and Iowa State to represent the Heart of America Collegiate Conference at the 54th Aspen Ruggerfest. Everyone put aside their respective clubs for one weekend and played some really good footy for only having one training session together going into the tournament. The Love squad dropped a close opener to hosts and eventual champions Aspen 19-7, beat the Scalliwags 29-12, and finished the day with a tough loss to Denver 28-14. Trevor Lister, Chandler Owens and Nick Hafford all scored, and Kahlil Allen was narrowly denied a try after getting held up in the try zone. The strength of this conference was on full display and the Love Squad gained a lot of fans before it was all said and done.
